1. Core Philosophy: Zero-Persistence Client-Side Architecture

FlirtCheck operates as an independent technical intelligence bureau based in Cheltenham, United Kingdom. Unlike conventional platforms, our interactive tools (including the Dating Risk Calculator) execute entirely within your local browser environment. We do not transmit, harvest, log, or persist user chat transcripts, biometric metadata, or personal identifiers to external cloud databases.

2. Information We Collect and Process

In accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), we adhere strictly to the principle of data minimization:

  • Technical Web Telemetry: Standard non-identifying server logs (IP address, user agent, browser language, timestamp) collected by our reverse proxy (Nginx) solely for denial-of-service mitigation, rate limiting, and infrastructure uptime monitoring. These logs automatically cycle and purge within 7 calendar days.
  • Browser Session State: Non-tracking cookies or localStorage variables required strictly for interface preferences (such as dark/light contrast or dismissal of safety warning banners).
  • Interactive Diagnostic Tools: Any text strings, timestamp deltas, or behavioral variables inputted into our client-side assessment calculators are processed locally in RAM memory and instantly destroyed when the tab is closed.

3. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Referral Disclosure

FlirtCheck may contain designated referral links (designated via /go redirects with explicit rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes). When you follow an outbound link to an external verification service or partner matchmaking network, third-party affiliate networks (including MyLead, LosPollos, and Admitad/Mitgo) may set tracking cookies to attribute referral actions.

These external networks operate under their respective privacy disclosures. FlirtCheck does not control or store any personally identifiable transaction information processed by third-party billing processors.
